Kinesis, explained in the open
This is the public home of Kinesis's development builds and its information wiki. Kinesis is not open source; this wiki is how it is shared instead: what every part does, the ideas behind it, and how it is released.
Development builds
The newest Kinesis work is built as a nightly, stamped with the shared version and the date, such as 0.0.1 alpha nightly 20261107. Nightlies show what is next; public builds will go to kinesis.one. See the dev builds.
The wiki
34 pages on what Kinesis is, each app, the ideas it runs on and how releases work. It is written for the public, so it leaves out personal information and anything about how Kinesis is secured.

One version for every app
Every Kinesis app, from the phone app to the editions of open-source tools, ships on one shared version. Today that is 0.0.1 alpha: the number is 0.0.1 and alpha is the release channel. See Releases.
